Medical Pack Overview
CalliGrapher Medical Pack adds a 130,000-word, professional-strength English language
medical dictionary for PhatWare's CalliGrapher and PenOffice
handwriting recognition products. The Medical Pack also includes a 225,000-word
combined Medical and Standard English dictionary. The dictionary is also used by
CalliGrapher and PenOffice for spell checking and to provide word suggestions
in the on-screen soft keyboard.
CalliGrapher and PenOffice already include
the Standard English dictionary. When you install the Medical Pack, a new language
configuration will be added and you will be able to switch between the Standard
English dictionary and the Medical dictionary by using the Language gesture,
or by clicking the Language button (icon). The language icon will indicate
which dictionary is being currently used.
icon stands for the Standard English dictionary and
for the Medical Dictionary or the Combined Medical and Standard English dictionary
(see screenshot). If you install the Combined Medical and Standard English dictionary,
switching between the Medical and the English dictionaries will not be necessary;
however using a larger dictionary may decrease quality of handwriting recognition.
